"A complete supplication" MM

This piece was done as a commission for a person in Mpumalanga. My client, was quite involved in the thought process behind this piece. He selected the model from eight applicant’s.
We then worked on modifying the pose so that it would work as a three dimensional piece. I was drawn to the flowing lines of this lovely figure. After the first two casts, I returned to my preferred method of elevating the figure on a circle rather than the opposing 'C's'. This can be seen in the images below.
The idea behind this piece is that one lover is giving herself to her partner with no restraints or hidden agendas. This is a piece depicting a ripe and sumptuous love. The circle suggests eternity...an eternal love.
